How to Use The PA Bible

  • We recognize some of the topics fit into multiple subjects, but we kept it simple by only putting each topic in one place in the workbook. You can find each topic in the appendix if it isn't where you instinctively think it would be.
  • Some topics may not have enough room to put everything in that you learn. We recommend putting in the information that is harder to remember, and not writing what you already know. This will help to ensure that your individual workbook doesn't become overcrowded or busy.
  • There are "empty" boxes within the workbook that are intended for the reader to draw or fill in that information, again this helps with recollection and learning.
  • There is a section at the end of each chapter to put the most commonly used medications within each subject.
  • There are also lined pages at the end of each subject so that you can add any subjects or information that you feel are important but that aren't specifically on the PANCE blueprint.

Meet the Authors

We make things that work better and last longer. Our products solve real problems with clean design and honest materials.

Meredith Allen, MPAS, PA-C

Meredith Allen is an Urgent Care Physician Assistant. She was introduced to medicine at a very early age, as both of her parents were nurses. Prior to PA school, she worked in pharmaceutical and cardiovascular research where she fell in love with the medical field for herself.

She decided to write The PA Bible to help students hone in what's really important from the very beginning of their PA education so that when it comes time to take Boards, they will already have their study guide built and ready. For those who are already practicing, it can become their quick reference book for everyday use; she uses the information from the workbook on a daily basis for her career.

Meredith is a wife and mother. She loves spending time outdoors with her family hiking, rock climbing, and looking for anatomical structures in land and rock formations.

Tiffany Turner, MPAS, PA-C

Tiffany Turner currently works as an OBGYN PA. Her extensive medical education includes an Associate of Allied Health, an Associate of Arts in Radiology, a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a Concentration in Exercise Science, and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies.

Tiffany is an Air Force Veteran, having served as a medic for 21 years. During her three overseas tours, two of which were in Iraq, she ran missions to return wounded troops to the United States to receive definitive medical care. She also ran an equine therapy program for children and adults with special needs for five years and worked on an ambulance for over six years.

Tiffany is a wife and mother and has two dogs. She enjoys snowboarding, hiking, horseback riding, and spending time with her family and dogs.

Christine Nelson, MPAS, PA-C

Christine Nelson worked in social services for 26 years before making a decision to attend PA school. She found a true passion in mental health services and now has a psychiatric fellowship at Missouri University in Columbia, MO. Christine's first author endeavor, The PA Bible, is dedicated to current students who are taking the same dive into the health field that she did.

Before PA school, Christine developed and supervised multiple local mental health programs including afterschool programs. She developed her community's first Mobile Crisis Outreach Team and worked as the Regional Director for the Crisis Intervention Team, and worked with the local police department to train local law enforcement to respond to persons with mental illness. Christine and her husband also founded the Family Support Center of Washington which they ran for 7 years.

Christine and her husband have four grown kids who they adore. Their family loves to travel together and their favorite places to visit are national parks and beaches.
